PART TIME EMPLOYEES NEEDED

S.T.F.D. #3 is interested in expanding our FF/EMT-B and FF/PARAMEDIC part time ranks for 2018. Basic information and prerequisite qualifications are as follows:

S.T.F.D. #3 consists of 3 stations and 6 suppression personnel on duty daily. Employees must be confident in their ability to work independently. We are an ALS provider for our district; employees must be willing and able to provide patient care to their level of training in an ambulance and/or during transport. Employees will be expected to participate in daily, weekly and annual duties and training as well as any other duties assigned to the shift.

The following prerequisites are preferred for consideration of employment:

 Current and valid Louisiana Class D Chauffeur’s license.

 Current and valid CPR/AED card.

 Hazmat Awareness/Operations certification (LSU/IFSAC).

 NIMS ICS 100/200/700/800.

 FF-1 (LSU/IFSAC)

 Driver/Operator (LSU/IFSAC)

 Current and valid EMT-B / EMT-PARAMEDIC (National and state certified).

 ACLS and PALS for Paramedics

Wages are $11.00/hr for FF/EMT-B and $15.00/hr for FF/PARAMEDIC

12 and 24 hour shifts are most common.
